High-voltage capacitor devices are specially designed to meet the requirements of capacitor loading and feature a highly internal resistance. This limits high peak power-pulsed operation. The output is designed for abrupt switching of the load cycle with constant current and then continuing the charging procedure.

Here the functional scope and the control response are always configured to the specific capacitor with the charging- and discharging process.

The polarity of the output voltage can be selected as positive or negative and this must be specified in the purchase order.

Generally the reference ground of the output is permanently connected to the ground internally.

Potential-free outputs can be designed to meet specific customer requirements. Our application technicians will be happy to discuss your options.

All of our devices are available in OEM design.

The efficiency for all systems is generally over 90%.

With all devices the high-voltage components are designed up to 15 KV of nominal voltage in cast-silicon, and high-voltage conducting parts are insulated with oil.

The charging process can optionally be controlled via trickle charging or using an external potential-free input.

All devices are thus designed for trickle charging and are sustained short-circuit proof, thus no external protective resistor is required.

A repeating signal is issued upon reaching the preset cutoff voltage. Charging occurs with an adjustable constant surrent without overshoots.

The voltage- and current settings are galvanically separated via 0 - 10V analog signals and can be programmed via an optional serial interface. Two galvanically separated 0 - 10V analog voltages are available for measurement signals for the charge current and the output voltage.

The output socket can be mounted to the front plate or on the rear as preferred.

Suitable connectors with connecting cables can be made to order to suit the customer´s requirements.

Typical uses:

  • buttonPulsed lasers

  • buttonFlash lamps

  • buttonpulsed high-frequency tube amplifier

  • buttonhigh-voltage pulse generators
