Power splitters and combiner are used to operate two or more acousto-optic modulators or drivers synchronized. All inputs and outputs are always matched to the corresponding system resistance.The applied RF power is divided by the number of outputs with a minor insertion loss.The signal phase relation always remains constant at zero degree .As a result of the basic passive construction, the reverse operation as a combiner is also possible.This makes it possible to connect several drivers, even with different frequencies, to a single acousto-optic modulator.Any mismatch and phase errors will be compensated by internal ballast resistors.
